The Museum of Modern Art Warsaw finally managed to buy back Zbigniew Libera’s "Lego. Concentration Camp" – one of the most prominent pieces in Polish modern art history.

“Lego. Concentration camp” (1996) was bought on December 30, 2011. It was bought from a Norwegian art collector for 55,000 euros (245,000 zloty). 153,320 zloty were donated and collected by the Society of Friends of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. The main objective of the Society is to support the emerging Museum and collects funds for acquisitions of works of art for the Museum collection.

The work of Libera will be on display in the second half of 2012 at the exhibition of the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw with items acquired since it was established in 2005.
